Courthouse Alternative Wedding

It is our belief that cost should never be a barrier to marriage, which is why we provide a simple “Sweet & Legal” service for people who want to take care of the legal basics of a marriage, but can’t or don’t want to get married in the courthouse. We realize that, especially with Covid restrictions, getting married in the courthouse comes with a lot of restrictions that may not fit your needs.

Because we provide this as more of a service than a profitable business venture, we don’t travel long distances for elopements except in special circumstances, as demand is high and it takes a lot of time away from our families. For this reason we conduct most of our elopements at Leesville Community Park (5105 Country Trail, Raleigh, NC 27613) and at Lake Lynn (Lynn Road, Raleigh, NC 27613). (Most of the pictures below were taken at Leesville Community Park). You can bring as many people as you do or don’t want to.

With the Sweet & Legal service your officiant will witness your vows, pronounce the marriage, and help to fill out the paperwork. If you want to say your own vows or exchange rings we’re happy to accommodate that, as well. Your officiant will file the marriage license the next business day. We can also provide witnesses for a small fee if needed.
