Rebranding
We’ve got a new look going on (and even a new name!). I’m really excited about everything we’ve achieved and become, and I wanted to talk a bit about the what and the what and why behind the rebrand.
Why are you rebranding?
This business has grown more quickly than I (Rebecca) anticipated it would, and the changes that have happened in the last year have been incredible! Perhaps most importantly my dear friend Emily Wade joined my officiating practice, and for obvious reasons “Rebecca Wiglama, Wedding Officiant” doesn’t fit quite as well when you have two officiants, one of whom is definitely not named Rebecca Wiglama. The name was also just a mouthful, and I wanted something a little more memorable and easy to pronounce.
Why now?
I’ve been mulling the idea of a new name over in my mind for some months now, but with wedding season in full swing it just wasn’t on the priority list. Now that things have slowed down a bit I’ve had the time I needed to think it over and do it right.
Tell me about your new name and logo.
While I was not born or raised in Raleigh, it is my chosen home and I absolutely love North Carolina. I’ve lived in ten states in every corner of the country and have visited all but four states, so I feel like I can be a reasonably fair judge of the fact that North Carolina is the best state in the Union. I wanted a name and logo that would celebrate where I live and show where the roots of this business lie. With the logo I decided to represent the leaves of the beautiful willow oaks that line many streets in Raleigh, as well as the dogwood flower that is a symbol of our state. I also love the idea that in every tiny acorn, if nourished properly, there is the potential for the growth of a huge oak. A wedding, like that little acorn, is just the beginning, and with proper care it can grow into a marriage that is beautiful, strong, and enduring. I hope you love the logo as much as I do!
What changes can we expect?
Some of the visuals and navigation on the website will change, but you can still expect the same warmth and professionalism that we have always striven to deliver. Emily and I have enjoyed working as a team and we plan to keep giving our best to couples who are looking for an awesome wedding ceremony with a fun and relaxed wedding officiant!
